About

I'm Prakash Kantumutchu — KP. I build and run production software, and I care most about the parts that decide whether it can be trusted: access, data, failure handling and verification.

Aviation first

I trained as a mechanical engineer and took a master's in cryogenics and vacuum technology at NIT Rourkela. From 2019 to 2024 I worked on Airbus A320-family aircraft at Air India, on fly-by-wire and powerplant systems, under DGCA and EASA rules.

Aircraft maintenance runs on a few habits that turned out to matter in software: a task is not done until it is signed off, a deferred defect is written down rather than remembered, and an inspection is only worth something if it could have found the fault. None of the AI systems I build today are safety-certified, and I don't claim they are. The habits came with me anyway.

Into software

After five years signing off A320 maintenance tasks at Air India and completing an M.Tech at NIT Rourkela, I moved full-time into software and AI engineering in January 2024 — first building AI/ML services at Boven Technologies, then training engineers on MLOps at Futurense before joining RVM CAD to lead its production platforms. From August 2025 to April 2026 I worked as an ML-Ops trainer at Futurense Technologies.

RVM CAD

At RVM Beyond Private Limited (RVM CAD) my official designation is Technical Product Manager. In practice I lead a four-engineer team and serve as the hands-on architect and primary builder across three production systems:

  • BadaBhai, an AI placement platform for skilled-trade workers. I architected and shipped its zero-downtime 15-table organisation tenancy model, its CHECK-enforced AES-256-GCM encrypted AI trace store across six LLM workflows, its deterministic bilingual (English + Devanagari) one-page PDF résumé engine (56/56 fixture sheets fitting one A4 page with 32 anti-fabrication tests), its handle-based privacy relay, and its skill-discovery and job-matching backend, backed by 57 architecture decision records and 22 database CI gates.
  • The RVM CAD Job Portal, a multi-portal hiring marketplace for candidates, employers and RVM's placement team. I built the core backend, employer/candidate workflows, and the read-only Model Context Protocol (MCP) operations connector (11 tools with OAuth 2.1 + PKCE, rotating hashed refresh tokens and per-call identity checks), while colleagues built the plan-based monetisation and lead dialer.
  • The RVM Management Portal, the ERP and operations system of record for a four-branch training institute — admissions, batch scheduling, GPS/biometric attendance, fee ledgers, asset/inventory registers, HR and executive reporting — plus employee self-service. I serve as the named architecture decision-maker and built its unified 5-table append-only audit trail and 8-tool CEO investigation connector.

The work spans architecture, backend and data, AI integration, CI/CD and production support, alongside product decisions with the CEO and department heads.

How I work

  • Write the decision down. Context, options, the choice and what it costs, so the next engineer can disagree with something specific.
  • Prefer a constraint in the database to a rule in a code review. If a table must never hold plain text, the table should refuse it.
  • Distrust a green check until you've seen it go red.
  • Say what isn't measured. Every case study on this site lists what its numbers do not prove.
